Before You Get Too Excited About Santa and Christmas Presents....

...take a good long look at this post.

Ever heard that one Santa Claus song?  The really popular classic?  Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Just listen to the words.

"He sees you when you're sleeping.  He knows when you're awake.  He knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake!  He's checking his list, checking it twice, gonna find out who's naughty or nice."

Creepy, no?  I mean, seriously, the whole thing is fishy.  Are you sure that's a song?  It sounds more like a warning to me...

And then he breaks into your house.

So do the smart thing.  Do what a friend of mine suggested:

"So...when Santa 'comes down the chimmney'....light a little fire to warm the house...and our hearts!"

On a completely different (but still holiday-themed) note, I've been chuckling over this video for several days. Turn the volume all the way up and try to last to the end.  If you can't watch it to the end, I don't blame you.

Have a fantastic Christmas, and enjoy your snow!  In the meantime, I'll be sweating. ;)

My Critical Thinking teacher has an odd sense of humor, and made us all listen to that version of "Holy Night," before class started. Just to "get us in the christmas spirit," as he said.

Haha, I seriously couldn't finish the song.
I read somewhere that this guy wants Santa to leave seaweed, I'm not kidding, SEAWEED in the naughty children's stockings instead of highly combustable rocks, which really aren't meant for children. He says that if approximately there are 7 billion children in the world, and if 1 billion of them believe in Santa Claus, and 99% f them are good that leaves 1 million children to get coal which is about 5,000 tons of coal. Not very environmentally friendly, eh? Just wanted to share that tidbit of info. Who else votes for Santa to go green and start leaving seaweed, which is completely renewable and decomposable? :)

Haha. Couldn't finish the song either. But I have decided that next time my characters decide to defy me, I'm going to force them to listen to that song. Who's with me?

Brianna - Seaweed? Never heard that one before. Weird...

@ Brianna

The end was the best/worst/most hilarious part (though admittedly, not easy to get through).

Seaweed would be a punishment for me, but my brothers actually like it. O_o Though I guess you're talking about seaweed straight from the ocean, not dried and boxed for human consumption right? Either way, gross.

*Dies* I wonder if the guy who sang this song received an encore for his version of Oh Holy Night.... Just a thought. :-P
Oh and, Eldra, I think I might do the same thing...

Okay, so I'm not the only one mildly disturbed by Santa.

That was painful. *slowly removes fingers from ears*

No you are not the only one mildly disturbed by santa, except for me it's extremelly disturbed by santa.

You managed to get your fingers into your ears? Lucky you, I was paralysed immediately, so I had to listen to the whole song with clear ears, I always thought I could stand up to torture, but now I'm not so sure. *looks around furtively* Just don't tell my evil character that, he's still trying to get his revenge on me. *disappears* See ya guys!

I'm going to force myself to get through this, haha. I WILL PERSEVERE THROUGH THIS SONG.

Yes, Santa is a bit creepy...

HA!!!!!! What an, um, enlightening rendition of 'O Holy Night,' which happens to be my favorite Christmas carol. That made me laugh so hard! It made me wonder if the guy actually wanted his version to sound like that or was unaware of his 'talent.' (Favorite parts - "Faaaaaall on your kneeeeeeeeeeees... oh, heeeeeeeeeear..." and "You know it was..." HA! My choir teacher would have a few things to say to that guy...)

Thanks! And have a good time sweating. We don't have any snow yet, and it's still in the 60s where we live. (Hard to believe we had a white Christmas last year... lol!)
